How to pause your lead intake before vacation
One toggle in the user menu takes you out of the lead distribution rotation: while it is off, new leads go to your teammates, and clients are not left waiting.
If leads in your workspace are distributed among managers automatically, going on vacation without preparation means new clients keep landing on you — and waiting days for an answer. Ikigai solves this with a single personal switch.
Where the toggle lives
- Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar — the user menu opens.
- Find the "Accept leads" toggle.
- Switch it off before you leave, and back on when you return.
As the hint next to the toggle puts it: "Toggle off and new leads + your current clients will move to other managers until you turn it back on." Colleagues cover your queue, response time stays healthy, and nobody has to forward chats around manually.
What happens while you are away
- The automatic distributor skips you: new leads are routed to the other managers in the rotation.
- Clients keep getting answers instead of waiting for your return.
- Your existing deal history stays where it is — nothing is deleted or hidden, and the record of every conversation remains on the client card.
When you are back
Open the same menu and switch "Accept leads" on. From that moment you are part of the rotation again and new leads start arriving as usual.
If you do not see the toggle, or it will not switch
- The toggle is only shown to users who take part in lead distribution. If distribution rules do not include you (typical for administrators or finance roles), there is simply nothing to pause — so the menu hides the switch.
- If an administrator has switched you off in the distribution rule itself, the toggle looks like a regular switched-off toggle, but clicking it only makes it shake — it will not flip from your side. Ask your administrator to re-enable you in the rule.
Tip: flip the toggle at the end of your last working day, not on the morning of the flight — leads that arrived overnight would otherwise sit with you until a colleague notices.
